The #2X ('hashtag two X') website is an online tool that highlights what young people, thought leaders and polticians are saying in the build-up to elections, encouraging critical engagement in politics. 

The #2X website actively curates online conversations, encouraging young people to engage with politics in the build up to elections. By displaying tweets around key topical issues and scaling them based on their retweets and favorites, #2X visualizes the social media conversation happening around the issues and which messages are making the greatest impression. The project was built using Django and makes use of the Twitter API to allow my client to easily pull relevant tweets into the site. A scheduled Cron script ensures that the Tweets presented on #2X are kept in sync with current data on Twitter.
